The polyfill seems to work on Safari 15-15.1-15.2 but it won't work if the element is hidden (for a example if it's overflowed). Turns out theres a scroll-behavior CSS property that we can set to smooth, its literally that literal. Hate digging up an old thread, but I decided to use Safari instead of Chrome on my new 14' MBP and the scrolling SUCKS. Create a normal anchor link pointing to a specific point of the web page.
